The name, Cascada de Camoján, refers to a cascading stream that forms part of the protected natural scenery of this area at the foot of the mountain. Cascada de Camoján History

Cascada de Camoján developed originally in the 1970s through the building of a small number of villas on large plots surrounded by nature and overlooking Marbella, the Golden Mile and the sea. It was in the 1990s that the area took form with the construction of more luxurious villas and the exclusive architecturally styled apartment complex of Imara Marbella.
